Susan Jones, M.A., CRC, LMFT-S

Susan JonesSusan has more than 25 years of experience in international consulting, counseling and training and development. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist and a certified rehabilitation counselor. Prior to accepting the position at The Woodlands UMC, Susan was president of Jones Counseling and Consulting and had served as interim executive director of Interfaith of The Woodlands. “We are blessed to have someone of Susan’s professional caliber to serve as executive director of Grace Point Counseling Center,” said Dr. Ed Robb (senior pastor of The Woodlands United Methodist Church). “She is an individual committed to excellence and is a well-respected member of our community.”

Susan received her Master of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Austin. She works with individuals, couples, and families cope, heal and find hope when dealing with difficult life issues. Her clinical areas of expertise include adjustment, eating disorders, abuse, self injury, infidelity, communication, trauma recovery, crisis intervention, marriage, premarital, couples, bipolar, depression, anxiety, coping with physical disabilities, stress, stepfamilies, and strengthening families. She is person centered and family systems oriented. She respects the dignity, worth and uniqueness of each person. As with all Grace Point counselors, Susan offers Christ-centered counseling, but also works with clients from many different faiths. She has been an invited speaker for Sunday school classes, Bible studies and numerous organizations.

Susan has been a member of The Woodlands UMC for 20 years and welcomes the opportunity to join its staff. Susan’s daughter and son-in-law reside in the Washington, D.C. area. She was married for 24 years to the late Dr. Robert L. Jones.

Dr. Mary Causey, Ph.D., LPC-S, RPT

Counselor

Mary CauseyMary has a B.S. in education from the University of North Texas State, a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Houston, a M.A. in counseling from Sam Houston State University and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from Sam Houston State University. She has worked in the counseling field since 1999 as a school counselor, counselor educator, counselor supervisor, and a private practitioner. As well as being a therapist at Grace Point, Mary presently works as an adjunct counselor educator and supervisor for SHSU. Her credentials include certification in school counseling, licensure as a Professional Counselor-Supervisor, and specialization as a Registered Play Therapist. As a clinician, Mary works with children, individuals, families, and groups.

Mark S. Crowe, M.Ed., LPC

Counselor

Mark CroweMark received his B.S. in psychology from John Carroll university in Cleveland, Ohio and his M.Ed. in Education and Counseling from Cleveland State University. He spent 10 years in Ohio working in the social work and counseling fields including work as a licensed high school counselor. He currently works full time as a high school counselor with the Conroe I.S.D. Mark enjoys working with adolescents, individuals, families and groups.

 

 

Patricia Fairhurst, Ed.S., M.Ed., LPC, CRC, CCM, LLPVRC

Patricia FairhurstPatricia Fairhurst has an Educational Specialist and Master of Education in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Missouri, both awarded in 1981, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Vermont, 1979. She has worked in the counseling field for over 13 years with an emphasis on serving individuals and families with disabilities and special needs. She provides individual, group, vocational rehabilitation, career counseling and consultation with schools and employers in the nonprofit and private sector. Patricia’s goal is to assist individuals and families adjust and cope with the tremendous challenges placed before them. Her hope is that they may discover the hidden treasures and special blessings within their situation. She offers Christ centered counseling while respecting each person’s individual journey. Her credentials include licensure as a Professional Counselor, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Certified Case Manager and Louisiana Licensed Professional Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. Patricia is a member of The Woodlands United Methodist Church. She has been married for 27 years and has three children.

Janet Jacinto Hoffmann, M.S., LCSW

Janet HoffmannJanet Hoffmann received her Master of Science in Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin in 1999. She received her B.S. from in 1996 from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru in Lima, Peru. She is fully bilingual in English and Spanish; she has fluency in French, intermediate level. She is a counselor, clinical supervisor, and consultant. She addresses relationship issues, abuse, trauma, grief, loss, acculturation issues, addiction, adjustment issues, and mood and anxiety disorders. She has a diversity of work experiences at Interfaith of The Woodlands, Comunidades Latina Unidas En Servicio Behavioral Health Consultant, and other bilingual organizations. She enjoys working with adults, children and teens.

Dr. Annie Jones, Ph.D., LPC

Counselor

Annie JonesAnnie is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and Michigan. She earned a Doctorate in Counselor Education from The University of Michigan, Master’s in Guidance and Counseling from Eastern Michigan University and Bachelor’s in Pre-professional Social Work from Southern Illinois University. Dr. Jones’ professional practice extends over 30 years in counseling, supervision and consultation.. Her clinical experiences include counseling individuals, couples, families and groups. People she sees are from diverse, ethnic, racial, socioeconomic, and religious backgrounds. Clinical issues she can address include: anxiety, addiction, depression, relationships, family, trauma, academic performance, eating disorders, racial discrimination, and spiritual or religious challenges. Annie is a warm, engaging counselor and seeks to understand the whole person: physical, psychological, relational, and spiritual. Dr. Jones was married for 32 years and is the proud mother of three children and three grandchildren. Her religious training started in The United Methodist Church, St. Louis, Missouri.

Margie Jordan, M.A., LPC, LMFT, CGS

Margie JordanMargie Jordan has a B. S. in Business Administration from Boston University (1977) and is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who graduated with honors from Sam Houston State University’s Counseling program with an emphasis on marriage and family counseling. In addition to the education in counseling, Margie has a certificate of Graduate Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. She was one of the original members of Grace Point Center. She has been an active member of the Methodist church for thirty years and has led numerous Bible studies and Sunday school classes. Her primary interests are in marriage and family counseling although she is trained in individual, couple, family, and group counseling. She has been married for 27 years and has three grown children and brings a wealth of life experiences to her profession.

Mary J. Lambrecht, M.S., M.S., LMFT

Counselor

Mary J. LambrechtMary received an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy and an M.S. in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 1999. She spent 12 years as a Clinical Therapist at The Center for Family Healing in Menasha, WI, and 12 years as a Family Consultant to Native Americans at the Maehnowesekiyah Wellness Center in Gresham, WI. Mary specializes in relationship issues including marital conflict and communication issues, parenting concerns, and attachment issues with foster and adopted children. She also works with individuals and families struggling with grief, depression, anxiety and mood disorders. Mary’s passion is to create a safe, professional environment where individuals and families can experience healing.

Mary has served as a speaker and facilitator of many workshops and seminars on parenting, couples, and spiritual issues at the state and national levels. Mary has also written numerous articles for Practical Family Living and made frequent guest appearances on the Practical Family Living radio program, a daily Christian radio program heard in seven states and around the world. With Christ as her cornerstone (Isaiah 28:16) she counts it a great privilege to be a part of God’s healing touch for others.

Pamela Padgett, M.Ed., NCC, LPC, RPT, B.S.N., RN

Counselor

Pamela PadgettPamela is a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor who graduated summa cum laude from Texas Southern University/University Center of The Woodlands. She is a registered play therapist receiving over 175 hours of additional educational training in Play Therapy including courses in adolescent play therapy. She has experience in chemical dependency, industrial, community, public health, hospitals and schools. She has worked in offices of physicians and psychologists.

Pamela also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Iowa and is a Registered Nurse. She has been practicing as a Licensed Health Care Professional for 33 years. As a licensed health care professional, Pamela has served as a Psychological Case Coordinator in South Bend, Indiana. She has served as a camp nurse and counselor. Currently, Pamela works full time as a licensed health care professional with Conroe Independent School District. Pamela enjoys applying the principles of Play Therapy to children, adolescents, families, and groups. Pamela is a member of The Woodlands United Methodist Church. She has been married for 31 years and has two children.

Melinda Schoppe, M.A., LPC

Counselor

Melinda SchoppeMelinda has a B.A. in Special Education from McNeese State University in Louisiana and a M.A. in Counseling from Sam Houston State University. She has worked with children for over 20 years in school settings, agencies, and private practice. A few of her areas of skills, knowledge and competencies include: autism spectrum, neuropsychological disorders (including mild and moderate mental retardation; brain defects, and sensory integration difficulties), learning disabilities, mood disorders, adoption, trauma and parenting. She received her license for counseling in 2007. Melinda specializes in art and play therapy to help children, families, individuals, and groups.

Tasha is the sweet and loving voice on the other end of the phone. She handles the scheduling of appointments throughout the day. She is compassionate and diligent for the ministry of our center. Tasha brings her education and experience in the health care industry to the center with grace. She is a wonderful wife and mother.
