Anxiety and Depression

In a world full of stress and overwhelming responsibilities, anxiety and depression can creep into our lives. Anxiety is that complex combination of fear, apprehension, and worry, often accompanied by symptoms rapid heart rate, nausea, shortness of breath, and tension headaches. On the other hand, depression is a feeling of intense sadness or despair that results in laziness, lack of motivation, and irritability. While feeling anxiety or depression can make you feel hopeless, we at Grace Point Counseling Center want to provide relief for your pain.

Operating from a Christian perspective, we help clients to identify the source of their anxiety and depression. We provide a listening ear and illness education to de-mystify the disorder and the healing process. Clients are also encouraged to do self-exploration through biblio-therapy and journaling. Using Biblical principles, we confront the myths about self-esteem and worthlessness in our clients and encourage them to take hope in God’s Word. Our goal in anxiety and depression treatment is to acknowledge your pain and to work with you to find a path to emotional peace.
